A USB composite device is a single device that provides multiple functions, such as a combined keyboard and mouse device. These devices require a driver in order to.

When a new USB device is connected to a host machine, the USB bus driver creates a physical device object PDO for the device and generates a PnP event to report the new PDO. The operating system then queries the bus driver for the hardware IDs associated with the PDO.

The device must have multiple interfaces.

The device must have a single configuration.

The bus driver also checks the device class bDeviceClass, subclass bDeviceSubClass, and protocol bDeviceProtocol fields of the device descriptor. If these fields are zero, the device is a composite device, and the bus driver reports an extra compatible identifier ID of USB COMPOSITE for the PDO.

After retrieving the hardware and compatible IDs for the new PDO, the operating system searches the INF files. If one of the INF files contains a match for the device ID, Windows loads the driver that is indicated by that INF file and the generic parent driver does not come into play. If no INF file contains the device ID, and the PDO has a compatible ID, Windows searches for the compatible ID. This produces a match in Usb.inf and causes the operating system to load the USB Generic Parent Driver Usbccgp.sys.

If you want the generic parent driver to manage your device, but your device does not have the characteristics necessary to ensure that the system will generate a compatible ID of USB COMPOSITE, you will have to provide an INF file that loads the generic parent driver. The INF file should contain a needs/includes section that references Usb.inf.

If your composite device has multiple configurations, the INF file you provide must specify which configuration the generic parent should use in the registry. The necessary registry keys are described in Configuring Usbccgp.sys to Select a Non-Default USB Configuration.

Digital to Analog Audio Converter DAC Hi, I bought this device a year ago and have it connecting the optical audio of a plasma TV to the analog input of my bose system, it worked wonderful until today. What happend is that by mistake I shut off the main energy switch in my home while the tv was on, when I switched back on the energy switch the tv came on but the audio does not get to my sound system. The tv audio and the soundsystem work fine alone but when conected to the converter it does not work, I don t know if is the optical cable that was damage or the converter. Can you help me to find out where is the problem.

I m a 22-year-old female with olive skin. I have splotchy, brown patches of skin on my back, stomach, and upper arms. What could this be and would it be okay if I continued to keep trying to dry my skin out further to help it flake off faster. Is there a better solution. Thanks for any help.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be pityriasis versicolor or seborrheic dermatitis. It is usually caused by overgrowth of Malassezia furfur. This skin disease commonly affects adolescents and young adults, especially in warm and humid climates and is aggravated by sweating and humidity.

Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. The other possibilities are of eczema, lupus erythematosus or dermatitis. Best would be to consult a dermatologist and get biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Hi, thanks so much for the reply.

I probably should have initially mentioned more of the treatments I ve undergone in the previous post. I went through these medications in this order:

- 2.5 Selenium Sulfide 2 weeks, no improvement aside from drying out my skin

- Oral antifungal, 1 per day for 5 days no improvement

- Fluocinonide Cream USP, 0.05 2 weeks, no improvement

- Econazole Nitrate Cream, 1 2 weeks, no improvement

After these all failed, my derm opted for a biopsy. The results came back simply stating that the discoloration was post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with no signs of fungus. I have never had anything done or happen to me that would inflame such huge areas of my body, so this made no sense to me; I rarely even go out in the sun I live in Southern California where the weather is very dry. I should also note that this only really got this bad around a year or two ago.

My derm had nothing more to offer in terms of treatment, so my only option was to just try getting a second opinion, which I haven t done. It was then that I realized my skin was dry and flaking, so I figured I could treat my skin myself. Would it maybe be a good idea to use some kind of chemical exfoliant like a peel or lactic or glycolic acid.

Have you found anything that has yet remedied your dark patches. I believe that I might have the same issue. I have been to my Dr. which first advised to get anti-fungul cream over the counter which of course did not work, then I was prescribed oral and cream for fungus and then did not work. So, if you have found anything that works please let me know.
